Life is too short to not laugh. Maura here. I started my design journey taking as many art classes as I could eventually going to art school for photography and on to grad school as a photography, multimedia, and design major. It was in grad school that I developed video and editing skills with a strong focus on technical skills as well as an emphasis on the art of storytelling.  I ultimately decided to focus on design but my background in photography and multimedia has made me a better designer.

When I am not designing or teaching, I train in the martial arts.  I am a fourth-degree black belt instructor in karate teaching various age groups.  This actually sparked the idea for my master’s thesis, which you can find here. 

I enjoy the martial arts, trying new things, and hand-lettering.  Expect lots of smiles, design, and laughs. Let’s meet!
